A scan runs on its own once you start it. This page covers what you see while it runs, and what to do when one needs you.

While a scan runs

The scan page shows a five-step timeline. Findings appear as the agents confirm them. You do not have to wait for the scan to finish before you read the first one.

The scan paused

A scan pauses on its own when your organization’s balance runs low. It does not fail, and every finding it already produced stays.
Add credits, open the scan, then select Resume scan. The scan continues from where it stopped. See Billing.

An agent failed

One agent can fail while every other agent succeeds. The scan still finishes, and the findings from the agents that succeeded are still yours.
  • To retry one agent, select rerun on its row.
  • To retry every failed agent at once, select Rerun all failed.
Only the agents you choose run again. The scan does not start over.

Some agents did not run

A large repository can queue more work than one scan runs. The platform stops at its limit and finishes with the agents it completed. The rest are held, not lost. Select Continue N capped on the scan page to run them. This adds their findings to the same scan.

You cancelled the scan

You cannot undo a cancellation. Any agent still in progress stops, and the scan cannot be continued. To scan that code again, start a new scan.
Select Cancel on the scan page, then confirm with Cancel scan. Select Keep scan to back out. Findings the scan already produced stay visible. Cancel is available while a scan is in Recon, Scan, or Finalizing.

Delete a scan

Deleting a scan is permanent. The scan and its findings are erased, and we cannot restore them.
On the scans list, select the trash icon on a finished scan, then confirm with Delete. A running scan cannot be deleted. Cancel it first.
